Terms and Conditions

Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with our terms and conditions. This includes important information that you will need to check before and after completing your booking with more travel

Insurance

We would like to recommend that you ensure you have adequate travel insurance including full cancellation cover in place as soon as you book your holiday.

If you are unsure about your ability to obtain travel insurance, please resolve this prior to making your booking.

Cancellation and Amendment Policy

In most instances your deposit and any further payments are non-refundable, and the holiday booked will be non-changeable unless you have specifically asked for flexibility and we have confirmed this, in writing, to you.

Vaccinations and Health Care

Please refer to your GP surgery for specialist advice on vaccinations and health care required for your chosen destination. You can also refer to the National Health Travel Network and Centre www.nathnac.org

It is always prudent to take advice as early as possible as some vaccinations and medication require administration well in advance of departure.

Particular attention should be paid to Anti-Malarial medication where required.

Passports and Visas

Please note that you are responsible for your passport validity and visas, we can only offer advice and you should check in every instance that the advice given applies to you.

Most countries, even European, require a minimum passport validity of six months, after your return date.

Particular care and attention should be given to long haul destinations (e.g. non-European) where visas must be obtained in advance of travel and often incur an additional fee. It is imperative that you check, in advance, the visa requirements for your personal circumstances.

The most reliable source of information for British passport holders is provided by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office

Safety and Security

Local Taxes and Resort Fees

It is not unusual for local government offices to levy a tourist tax or city tax which must be paid by tourists in resort. It is usually collected by the hotels on behalf of local government but is sometimes collected at the airport on departure.

The amount charged and the locations charging vary hugely and whilst we will endeavour to provide you with accurate information it is not always possible.

If you are travelling to the USA it has become common practise for hotels to charge a “Resort Fee” which combines local taxes with additional hotel charges for use of their facilities. The average US hotel resort fee is USD24 per night - but amounts can be higher. Unfortunately this resort fee has to be paid in situ and can be variable. Please do challenge hotels if the amounts seem unreasonable, you will be unable to reclaim them at a later date.

Baggage Allowances

Baggage allowances differ by airline and transport provider. Where possible we will notify you the standard baggage policy (which you should see on your documentation).

If there is no baggage policy listed on our documentation, then please ensure you are familiar with the terms of the individual carrier before departure. We will of course assist you in this process on request.

Attention should be paid to domestic flights within North America and the Caribbean where hold baggage is rarely included in the cost of the ticket and incurs additional charges which can only be paid for at the airport.

If you are taking/carrying restricted items or equipment other than standard travel suitcases (eg sport equipment) please ask us for specific advice – as some airlines will require pre-booking.

We cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred for baggage as a result of additional airline charges.

Seat Selection

Most airlines now charge to pre-book seats in advance, but offer free seat selection at check in.

We will advise you at the time of booking, or immediately afterwards what the seating policy is with your airline.

In some instances, we will include pre-booked seats in your travel arrangements, you will be notified if this is the case.

Documents

Finally, please check all the documents that we send you carefully and immediately.

Please pay attention:

  • The spelling of your names which should match your passport exactly

  • The dates of travel match your understanding of the travel arrangements

  • All other arrangements meet your expectations of what is booked

  • Transfers will be listed in the travel arrangements where they are included. If they are not listed, then they have NOT been included

If there are any errors, omissions or concerns we require notification within 7 days of receipt of the documentation. If we have not heard from you within 7 days, we will assume you have checked the documents and are satisfied that they are correct.
